Opening a new retail store comes with countless decisions — especially for first-time store owners. When Big Peach Running Co. – Vinings began planning their new location, they partnered with Barr Display to help create a space that would feel organized, inviting, and easy to shop.

Working closely with our store planning team, the project included a complete store layout and fixture strategy tailored specifically to the store’s merchandising and customer flow needs. Through remote collaboration, our team provided fixture recommendations, planograms, and guidance on everything from display quantities to finishing details like hangers, mannequins, and slatwall accessories.

A major design element throughout the store was the use of barnwood slatwall with metal inserts, installed across the perimeter walls to create warmth, texture, and a cohesive visual foundation. Paired with satin chrome accessories, wood shelving, and modern apparel displays, the slatwall system allowed the team to maximize merchandising flexibility while maintaining a clean, organized appearance.

The space also features multiple barnwood slatwall merchandisers, nesting tables with white and rustic grey tops, and tall grey display tables with integrated hangrails to create layered focal points throughout the sales floor. Luna outriggers paired with barnwood shelving added vertical merchandising opportunities while keeping the store feeling open and uncluttered.

To support footwear and apparel presentation, the store incorporated rotating slatwall towers, magnetic shoe displays, mannequins, faceouts, waterfalls, and multiple slatwall shelving solutions designed to improve visibility and accessibility across product categories.

The checkout area was completed with coordinating barnwood counters, register stands, and glass corner cases that tied the overall aesthetic together while creating a polished customer experience from entry to checkout.

Finishing touches like decorative benches, shoe fitting stools, and coordinated white wood hangers helped reinforce the store’s clean, modern identity while improving comfort and functionality for shoppers.

Throughout the project, Barr Display worked closely with the Big Peach Running Co. – Vinings team to ensure every detail supported both the visual experience and the day-to-day needs of the store.

The result is a welcoming retail environment that consistently leaves strong first impressions while supporting smooth customer flow and effective merchandising.

The final layout was designed to create a clean, highly shoppable environment that guides customers naturally throughout the space. Open sightlines, flexible merchandising fixtures, and clearly defined product zones allow apparel, footwear, and accessories to remain easy to browse without overwhelming the customer experience.
